About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Strategy with a focus on Corporate Governance & Family Business at Vlerick Business University in Belgium.

Before my current position, I was an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and member of the Swiss Institute of Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship (KMU-HSG) and the Center for Family Business (CFB-HSG). In this role, I founded the St.Galler Owner Manager Forum—a membership-based platform that fosters experience exchange and inspiration for family business owners and entrepreneurs.

I served as the General Manager of the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia in Singapore for five years. During this time, I played a key role in establishing the University of St.Gallen’s first international institute, cultivating a strong business network across Singapore and Malaysia, and designing teaching programmes focused on business practices in Singapore and Southeast Asia. During this time, I was also Adjust Professor at Singapore Management University.

I hold a PhD in Strategy from the University of St.Gallen. As part of my doctoral studies, I worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Management and spent a year as a visiting PhD candidate at INSEAD in Singapore, where I broadened my academic expertise and gained valuable international experience.
