Teaching

I bring extensive teaching experience from the University of St.Gallen and Singapore Management University, spanning lectures, seminars, field trips, and coaching students on business projects with companies. I find contributing to student learning to be one of the most rewarding aspects of academic life.

My teaching goes beyond knowledge transfer, focusing on equipping students with the skills to tackle complex strategic challenges creatively and systematically. These challenges often vary by firm type, lifecycle, complexity, and cultural context, requiring students to explore multiple solutions. I help students understand the assumptions underlying strategic frameworks and guide them to craft context-specific strategies while considering social and societal responsibilities.

My teaching portfolio includes:

  • Managerial Impact Project Corporate Entrepreneurship (Master in General Management)
  • Corporate Governance (Master in General Management)
  • Corporate and Business Development in Southeast Asia (Master in General Management)
  • Business Study Mission Malaysia (Bachelor in Business Administration)

As teacher, I use interactive formats that promote joint learning fostering meaningful conversations and driving actionable outcomes for participants.

My approach

In my teaching, I prioritise student participation and collaborative learning. I foster an interactive environment where students are encouraged to share viewpoints, ask questions, and develop their own conclusions. My enthusiasm and authenticity create a positive atmosphere that values diverse opinions and critical thinking.

I aspire to continuously improve myself as lecturer and scholar, reflect my own teaching and didactics, and explore novel didactic methods. With the CAS Higher Education Didactics from the University of St.Gallen, I have laid a strong foundation to develop courses and apply various didactic concepts as they fit to provide a stimulating and collaborative learning environment for students.
